The anvil's song

Blacksmithing is a centuries-old craft that has been practiced by cultures all over the world. It is a process of shaping metal by heating it to a high temperature and then hammering it into the desired form. Blacksmithing is a skilled trade that requires a great deal of knowledge and precision.

The blacksmith's role in society has been both practical and symbolic. In the past, blacksmiths were responsible for creating tools and weapons that were essential for everyday life. They were also seen as having magical powers, as they could transform raw materials into objects of beauty and utility by using all four elements.

Blacksmithing is a fascinating and rewarding craft that is both practical and artistic. It is a skill that has been passed down for generations, and it is a reminder of the importance of craftsmanship in our modern world.

I would like to share a poem I call The Anvil's song:

In the belly of the giant,

Where Sun's chariot finds no course,

Life's blood of the earth crafts the thane's source.

Hammer’s song dances on the fire's lips,\

Crafting death-weavers, life-givers.

In their hands, the mortal-immortal takes form,

For they are the guardians of the flame’s heart.

So sings the saga, in glowing ember's light,

'Tis the tale of the iron-born's might.
